Our Response to COVID-19
Thank you for your support the past two weeks! We have appreciated all the positive feedback during our closing due to COVID-19.
Marty Chiropractic is happy to announce that we are RE-OPENING our clinic for chiropractic services on Wednesday, April 1, 2020. We have used the past 14 days to thoroughly clean the clinic, stock up on the essential supplies, and generate protocols needed to safely treat patients during this COVID-19 outbreak. We want to thank our staff and our patients for being so understanding of the closure over the past 2 weeks.
As you are aware, Gov. Walz has issued a shelter-in-place order for everyone in the state of Minnesota starting Friday night. We are classified as a medical clinic which has been deemed essential during this time of need. I believe that it is our duty to stay open, the goal is to help patients stay healthy and out of emergency departments or urgent care facilities.
We will follow all the guidelines listed by the CDC, the MN government and the MN Chiropractic Association. Based on the current guidelines, treatments will look slightly different when you come into the office. We will be scheduling more spaced out, so patients will not exceed a five-person limit in our office at one time. We will provide therapies to patients in limited capacity and reserve the right to use therapies on the most severe cases. To comply with the current State of MN Shelter-in-place order, we will only be treating acute and emergency cases until April 10th, 2020 unless it is extended. Once this order is lifted, we encourage all patients to schedule. Anyone who is on an active treatment plan including auto-accident, workers compensation or major medical patients will be considered acute cases and should continue with their regularly scheduled visits. Cash/non-insurance patients that have had an immediate flare up in their current condition or have developed new symptoms will be considered emergency cases and will also be treated accordingly.
If you are a wellness patient with little to no symptoms, we are urging you to stay at home and follow the MN shelter in place guidelines. However, if you are a wellness patient that is currently experiencing extreme pain or a new condition, please call to schedule an appointment. We are trying to limit our exposure for the next few weeks, but ultimately, we will be available for anyone that needs us.
Remember, Marty Chiropractic is a public clinic and your actions could affect other patients in the office. We are asking for everyone to be respectful of personal space and the current CDC guidelines. If you have traveled via airplane over the past two weeks, we are asking you to wait until the shelter-in-place is lifted to restart treatments. If you are experiencing any of the following symptoms please do not come into our office and self-quarantine for 14 days: fever, cough, chest pain and shortness of breath. Please err on the side of caution, if you think you are getting sick, reschedule your appointment.
We are happy to be able to make a difference for the Marty Chiropractic community in this time of need. If you have questions about scheduling an appointment, or about these new protocols, please send us an email of give us a call at 952-920-9721. We would be happy to answer any questions you may have.
